Sideboard

Maybeboard

Combo Myr deck using Heartless Summoning to play them for free and Altar of the Brood to mill the opponent. Easiest combos are two Myr Retrievers or a Havengul Lich and Myr Moonvessel .

Heartless Summoning - It lets us play things for cheap, and it lets us kill our 1/1's without lifting a finger. This is the engine that makes this whole deck work.

Altar of the Brood - This lets us kill people by milling them out. Once we combo, they will just flip over their deck and die on their draw step. It also gets around Leyline of Sanctity and other protection cards, plus it can be cast mid-combo using Myr Moonvessel 's spare mana.

Myr Retriever - Free when you have a Heartless Summoning and lets you retrieve an artifact. This is the easiest and fastest way to win, plus it can also enable us to get back lost pieces. Sadly doesn't get us our destroyed Heartless Summonings back, but not every creature is perfect.

Myr Moonvessel - This guy is also free and nets us , which is very useful to play Altar of the Brood or combos with Havengul Lich. Very handy. Also a great chump blocker.

Havengul Lich - Lets us recast our creatures for next to nothing, and combos nicely with Myr Moonvessel . Great for casting a free Myr Retriever than then grabs a Perilous Myr . We can get lots of movement and also shock people to death!

Perilous Myr - Sorcery speed shock that also chumps or kills our own Grim Haruspexs if we would otherwise die. Mainly in here to stop us from drawing out and to help us stabilize in bad games.

Grim Haruspex - This guy draws us cards. Cards are good. This also lets us find that missing Altar of the Brood when we have the rest of the combo, plus it lets us win using Laboratory Maniac when they have an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn in their deck.

Mulldrifter - I like sorcery speed Divination for a , and it also triggers Grim Haruspex and Altar of the Brood. A great Havengul Lich target too if you have the mana.

Court Hussar - Basically an Anticipate on a stick. It also immediately dies, which is ideal to trigger Grim Haruspex

Serum Visions - blah blah blah finding cards you want is good and stuff blah blah blah.

Spell Pierce - Protecting Heartless Summoning is important. We can do this by countering their counters and then winning the game. Also our one line of defense against combo decks pre-board. The hilarity when the Twin player never expected one of these! I originally had four in the sideboard, but they came in so frequently that I simply mainboarded them. Feel free to replace with Gitaxian Probe if you want a faster and less protected combo.

Spellskite - I decided to mainboard these due to the amount of Jund and Grixis I've been seeing. You can cast it for free off of Heartless Summoning, and it grabs Abrupt Decay wonderfully or protecting Grim Haruspex/Havengul Lich. It also blocks well against the smaller aggressive decks and stops Twin/Bogles/Infect beatifully.

Lands - They give us mana and stuff. Cool.

Inquisition of Kozilek - A catch all for removing problems. Bring this is whenever you think they have disruption or they are faster than you.

Nihil Spellbomb shuts down graveyard strategies without nuking our own graveyard. Enough said.

Pithing Needle shuts down Splinter Twin decks and all sorts of other things. Hit them wherever it hurts the most.

Torpor Orb helps against any ETB effects. Another nice catch-all card.

Surgical Extraction is our only way other than Perilous Myr /Havengul Lich to deal with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. Yay conditional loops being silly and forcing us to lose game 1. Also wonderful since it stops the new Collected Company combo decks.

Hurkyl's Recall can come in to mess up Affinity and any artifact decks. A generally good card to have, especially since you can use it to remove Chalice of the Voids or Grafdigger's Cages or Relic of Progenituss.

Echoing Truth is a good way to stop Rest in Peace and other graveyard hate. Also good against stuff like Griselcannon that cheat fatties into play.

Sidisi, undead visier is great in midrange games as a wonderful blocker, and can also tutor up any piece we need. Noteworthy because it kills Siege Rhinos and other fatties without any difficulty.

Darkblast - A great way to kill off Delver of Secret decks and Infect decks. The recurrable removal can really help smooth over some of our bad match ups.

Dismember - More removal is sometimes needed, since we can't always beat a resolved Gurmag Angler. It also helps out against our Twin and Infect match-ups.

Perfect World Turn 2 Kill

T1: Land, Altar of the Brood
T2: Land, Heartless Summoning, 2x Myr Retriever

Almost Perfect World Turn 3 Kill

T1: Land, Altar of the Brood
T2: Land, Heartless Summoning
T3: Land, Havengul Lich, Myr Moonvessel

I'm also looking for people to run playtests with my deck against other non-mainstream decks. Seeing how my deck fares against other homebrews could improve both of our decks. If you have a deck that you want me to test against, just post on my profile and I'll run us through some games.
