An EDH deck intended to limit resources and options for all players slowing the game down and allowing heliod to gain an incremental advantage over the opposition. An abundance of wraths and hard removal such as swords to plowshares and act of authority allow you to keep the board clear and prevent aggro decks from overwhelming you. Combo decks often find winning near impossible in the face of cards like eidolon of rhetoric, ether-sworn canonist and rule of law and a plethora of removal. For control decks the matchup becomes truly grindy, heliod himself is crucial here almost impossible to remove and able to generate incremental advantage at instant speed forcing you're opponent to spend resources to deal with his tokens using actual cards. Advantage come in the form of planeswalkers, some amount of reanimation and recursion as well as equipment such as skullclamp and crucible of worlds + recursion engines and of-course heliods ability.

The deck is to a specific taste granted but as someone who likes to make people work to get the win, I have enjoyed every game played with the deck so far as you can interact with nearly every type of deck.

all in all, if you don't mind games going for a long time and playing out the game outlasting your opponents you might enjoy this special brand of fun.
