I have only just started playing magic and have bought the event deck. I am now looking to improve it and not die to anger of the gods like the first time I played it :(

The main thing for this deck is the heroic mechanic but at my local shop some people play mono black and I have been struggling against turn 1 thoughtsieze, turn 2 devour, turn 3 heroes downfall. It scares me :P

I havnt decided on my side board and would love to help from everyone.
