"... And you'll never see it again unless I get 1,000,000 boosters in unmarked packages!!" This deck is so fun, it's criminal.
Thanks in advance for your +1 upvote sand for making this a "Top Deck"!! I feel this deck is all it can be in the current Standard but I want to get it ready for post-Born of the Gods Standard. I'm looking for thoughts on integration of those cards, as they are spoiled, in U/B Ransom.
This is the decklist that got my latest 4-0-0 at FNM. It should be noted that the 3rd Dimir Charm and main board
Domestication
are added to accommodate this shops metagame that includes high percentage of mono-black, mono-blue, and Boros/white weenie/red deck wins decks. All told, this deck is 12-0, playing well against a B/W midrange, rakdos Aggro, b/r/w control, and u/w control. I'd like to keep it undefeated and that's where I need your help via suggestions in fine tuning this deck.
For a u/w/x control dominated meta i would swap these the 3rd charm and domestication for x2
Syncopate
mainboard and change sideboard to include Duress and
Gainsay
. Similarly, with a more midrange meta id swap for two more Hero's Downfall.
The deck seeks to utilize opponents creatures and resources round one via Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver+
Nightveil Specter
+
Soul Ransom
while protecting its own board state with Jace, Architect of Thought. Dimir Charm acts as a
Last Breath
to control the early game but also fixes the top card of opponents deck late game to keep then from gas or set up a choice grab with Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver+
Nightveil Specter
.
Mutavault+PackRat+
Master of Waves
is the win con round one.
Side boarding for
monoblack: -4
Master of Waves
-1Hero's Downfall + 1
Domestication
,+1
Soul Ransom
, +1Dimir Charm, +2Jace, Memory Adept. The game plan is steal everything and deck the opponent or use card advantage from jace's and
Soul Ransom
to fuel packrats.
White weenie: -1 Psychic Strike, -4
Nightveil Specter
, -1Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver, +1
Domestication
,+1
Soul Ransom
, +1Dimir Charm,+3 Lifebane Zombie
More to come on my sideboard plans.. ...
