This is my revised and current editon of a U/W Azorius heroic deck.
I've opted to meld Heroics with the power of
Fiendslayer Paladin
and the versatility of Hopeful Eidolon.
Hopeful Eidolon is great as an aura, adding +1/+1 and Lifelink, but if you can play it as a creature and enchant it with two Ethereal Armor, you get a 7/7 with Lifelink and First Strike. Nicccce.
Playing
Hero of Iroas
reduces Aura casting cost, which affects the casting of
Ordeal of Thassa
and Eidolon of Countless Battles. Then, enchant him with Aqueous Form and two Ethereal Armor, and you get an unblockable 8/8 with First Strike and Lifelink. "Holy Moly, Guacamole!" said my Chips Ahoy.
Lest we forget
Favored Hoplite
; it gets damage prevention for the turn when casting a spell on it. Just brutal, and a primary win con.
And just for fun,
Fiendslayer Paladin
. First strike, Lifelink, AND he can't be the target of black or red spells your opponents control? Mix in Ethereal Armor and Aqueous Form and we've got a badass over here.
tl;dr: This deck is wicked fun and things can get lethal very quickly.

Gods Willing triggers heroics, which is why it's in here over Brave the Elements
Rulings on Hidden Strings, adapted from the following: Heroic Hoplites Tournament Deck
- When Hidden Strings is ciphered to a card and that card deals combat damage to a player, Hidden Strings triggers and a copy is cast at instant speed.
- When a copy of Hidden Strings is cast, targets are declared but the action is not until it resolves. It's targets are still valid from triggering heroic, but any additional effects of the copied card will not occur.
- When a copy of Hidden Strings is cast, it can untap your land, however this is done during your combat phase so no mana can be carried over to your second main phase via floating. If you had a creature with flash, you could play it during the combat damage step. However, non-flash creatures are not valid cards to cast during the combat step.
