The term 8-rack comes from 4x The Rack and 4x Shrieking Affliction which have similar effects when oponent has few cards in hand.

One way I like to use the sideboard is to remove 4x Stronghold Rats and add 4x Waste Not, while utilizing companion Lurrus of the Dream-Den
