How do you align the hedrons? (Legacy)

Legacy* Combo UBR (Grixis)

You thought it was a myth, but aligning the hedrons is possible and as early as turn 2!

When you cast Doomsday:

[Top of Library]

Lion's Eye Diamond

Predict

Hedron Alignment

Hedron Alignment

Hedron Alignment

[Bottom of Library]

How this works is you play LED and pass. you then draw and cast Predict and in response sacrifice LED for . Name Hedron Alignment milling one of them and drawing the other two. Use to play one Hedron Alignment and then you have one in exile (As Doomsday exiles the rest of your library) you win the game on your upkeep with no cards left in your library.

Hedron Alignment : Aligning the hedrons is the name of the game with this deck, so what do you expect? in standard aligning the hedrons is next to impossible, (Okay, maybe not, check out Saffron Olive's Against the Odds: Hedron Alignment. http://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/against-the-odds-hedron-alignment) but in legacy, well, things are a little different.

Doomsday: Doomsday is our best card to set up the combo as you can win in just a few turns after we cast it. Why don't we run the full 4? We only run 3 so that we can fetch one out of the sideboard with our Burning Wishes so we effectively run 7.

Burning Wish: Burning Wish acts as our Doomsday 4-7 to add more consistency to the deck.

Dark Ritual: Dark Ritual is a great card in this deck as the lets you cast a turn 1 Doomsday for super speedy combo kills.

Force of Will: Force of Will is a great card that allows us to both protect our game plan and disrupt our opponents. You can also exile Hedron Alignment from your hand to advance your alignment and to troll with your opponents.

Brainstorm: Brainstorm is an amazing card that provides us with good card advantage and helps us dig into our combo.

Counterspell: Counterspell is a great card that can keep you in the game and your opponent off of a combo or card that would swing the game.

Dark Petition: Dark Petition allows us to find and cast Doomsday in the same turn.

Daze: Again, a good counterspell to disrupt your opponent or protect your game plan.

Lion's Eye Diamond: This card can be part of our doomsday pile when we go all in on an early Hedron Alignment combo. When you have five lands you have no need for this card as you can use 2 mana to cast a Predict into the 3 mana Hedron Alignment .

Misdirection: This card can serve as a counter spell and sometimes even a two for one by redirecting a burn spell or something. Can also exile a hedron alignment.

Ponder: Ponder, as quite a lot of you probably know, is a very good card and is one of the best cantrips in the whole game. It helps us dig for Doomsday and other cards when we need them to.

Predict : This card isn't conventionally a good card but in this deck, in conjunction with Doomsday does an amazing job of aligning the hedrons as it puts one into your graveyard and gives you two more.
