The deck has been updated for the current standard, since most of the old cards have rotated out. The deck is still heavily in testing. So please bear with me.
As play-testing goes on, cards will change, as will quantities.
The goal as it was before is to create a monowhite midrange deck capable of a competent beatdown and some combat tricks.
Constructive criticism and friendly advice are welcome.
The strategy is simple: you act as a standard midrange, but perhaps slightly more aggressively since you have less removal.
99% of the time you will hardcast Hopeful Eidolon simply as a 1-drop for synergy with Ethereal Armor. (avoid putting in it on him though, to avoid 2-for-1s, good targets are the Paladin, the Soldier and creatures with Gift of Immortality )
The manacosts are geared to activate Heliod asap.
Less obvious interactions:
Heliod's tokens power up your Ethereal Armor
Late game you can bestow the Eidolon on Fabled Hero to activate heroic.
Banisher Priest becomes that much more powerful with Gift of Immortality. Unless your opponent has an exile spell, they are left in a very tricky position. Either waste two removal spells on him, sideboard for enchantment removal, or risk you choosing new targets to banish.
The sideboard is against planeswalkers and decks that run lots of removal or Glare of Heresy or Fade into Antiquity (note that it is crucial to save Gods Willing in these cases to protect Heliod from being exiled).
Glare of Heresy is against decks that play Heliod, Obzedat or Voice of Resurgence.
Celestial Flare is there against indestructible and/or hexproof. Hey there Fleecemane Lion, how efficient does that 5 mana activation seem now?
Again, please note that the deck WILL change, it's still in its early stages. Feel free to adjust the number of specific cards to your liking. I've always been a big believer in personalizing decks rather than copy-pasting.
P.S. Yes, I'm thinking of changing the name. No, I don't know who I hate most yet, the meta is still new :D
