...I'd play Selvala.

This is the EDH deck I'm working on. I don't have all the pieces yet, but it's been putting up decent results at FNM. It's won once and other than that has been putting up consistent 2-3 place finishes.

What I love about Selvala is that she lets you do some of everything. I've got some lifegain in here, ramp, card draw, and counters, all on a budget. Who ever said that Selvala is about hugs? If Selvala wanted to give you a hug so bad she wouldn't be carrying an axe.
