We've returned to the land of the Simic and WoTC has been merciful and actually given us good cards. Chief among these is Prime Speaker Vannifar , which translates to " Birthing Pod that dies to removal". This card has many uses (most of which involve cheating value into existence) but the one I've noticed for standard involves Impervious Greatwurm . This fatty ends games in a flash, but also suffers from costs-obscene-amounts-of-mana syndrome. We look at that for three seconds, then turn it to our advantage by just podding for it off of a Molderhulk . Yeah, that's the deck. Everything else is just a silver lining.

A matter of importance to any pod deck that isn't going for the combo-kill is having a creature curve so that you can slowly turn your Stitcher's Supplier into something a little better. The full curve is as follows and is also probably terrible, so all suggestions are welcome. Here we go:

1: Stitcher's Suppliers and Llanowar Elves

2: Incubation Druid and Lazav, the Multifarious

3: Jadelight Ranger

4: Riverwise Augur , Ravenous Chupacabra and Golgari Findbroker . Prime Speaker Vannifar is technically also here, but she can't eat herself so meh

5: Doom Whisperer

6: Carnage Tyrant

There are no 7 and 8 drops, though I'm considering one End-Raze Forerunners for the memes and there was a Pelakka Wurm at 7 early in the design process (before it occurred to me that I'd rather have the Carnage Tyrant )

9: Molderhulk , though in reality you should never be playing him for anywhere near nine mana, but the CMC matters

10: Impervious Greatwurm

As a final note, I have a really bad feeling I should run a fourth Prime Speaker. That's all.
