So i've been away from the game since around eldrich moon and came back shortly after Ikoria released and decided it would be a good idea to dust off my favorite commander and see what new cards could go into the deck. When I took a break from the game, simic was only feared in one format, edh. And that had little to do with gold simic cards but rather the inherent strength of combining green's ramp with blue's card advantage. Now? the shadow of simic leers over every constructed format in the game, fielding such abominations like Oko, Thief of Crowns , Growth Spiral , Hydroid Krasis , Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath , and now Omnath, Locus of Creation . Who knew combining the two most powerful things you can do in the game would be overpowered?! Well....at least Vorel gets to play with some powerful new toys before this whole game comes crashing down around us.

The Goal of the Deck

What this deck wants to do is abuse the effects of cards that use counters and create ungodly huge creatures

Making Vorel Better

Rings of Brighthearth and Illusionist's Bracers allows me to activate Vorel's ability twice, allowing you to even further multiply counters on a single target, or to double the counters on two cards simultaneously. Illusionist's Bracers also allow for infinite untaps with Aphetto Alchemist

Freed from the Real / Pemmin's Aura + Pentad Prism / Gemstone Array Lets you activate Vorel's ability an infinite number of times, all while giving you infinite colored mana

Seedborn Muse and Lighthouse Chronologist both fill the void that was left by Prophet of Kruphix 's banning.
