This is the first mono blue control deck that I am putting together entirely myself. Please help:)

The goal of this deck is heavy control/card advantage as early in the game as possible.

The best I could come up with is either countering Ornithopter with Fold into AEther and put Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur in play in the opponents turn or do it the Quicksilver Amulet way, which would be one turn slower.

Stormtide Leviathan is great for stalling opponents counting on ground forces and of course Psychosis Crawler to finish off your opponent once Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur is on the battlefield, without a single attack.

The first problem I ran into was simply not having the needed cards in hand. Sage of Epityr + Familiar's Ruse and Halimar Depths help greatly to play mana every turn, but it's still not ideal.

Included counterspells can stall the game a couple of turns, but not so well a more aggressive decks.

The second problem is the key fourth+ turn when I have needed cards in hand. I simply have to pray that my opponent does not blast Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur into smithereens.

Maybe Pact of Negation could help in this situation?
