I'm sorry Indie, we all are, but this had to be done.

Welcome to the Snake Pit , filled with ramp, fatties, shamans, and of course, snakes.

This is my first attempt at making a Commander deck without the use of Rares/ Mythic Rares. This is by no means an original deck building tactic, there are two other large formats that follow a similar tactic.

Pauper Commander: Commons Only

Peasant Commander: Commons Only with the addition of 8 uncommons including your commander (unless your commander is Common, here's looking at you Chandler and a decent handful of guys from Master's Edition III).

So why build a deck that has no hope of competing with Commander decks that have little golden and orange expansion symbols on the cards and also doesn't qualify for any established format in which it would have a modicum of a chance? Because kitchen table magic is hopefully still alive and kicking, much like our whip cracking friend here.

The cards sitting in the Maybeboard are heavy spender options for those of you who love seeing people weep into their mitt-full of cards while your wallet weeps along with them.
