I've been playing Gruul Monsters/Friends for a while and I wanted to switch it up a bit. Thought about going towards Naya, but in the end settled on trying to build a good Bant Flash (a little more like UGw Flash) deck, so here it is.

Card Rundown:

Archangel of Thune: good flyer who adds lifegain and grows my creatures. More on her later.

Courser of Kruphix - why not? So much utility, nice lifegain, and allows me to set up my scrys from the various Temples in the deck, as well as letting me get two-cards per turn if I draw without a land in hand and hit one on the reveal. Auto 4-of. And more on him (her? it?) later.

Elvish Mystic - just your friendly neighborhood one-drop mana dork.

Fathom Mage: a 4-drop 1/1. Absolutely horrible. Outside of that beautiful evolve ability. More on her later.

Horizon Chimera: I wanted to build a deck for this card ever since I saw it spoiled for Theros, and I'm glad I finally get the chance. It's another good flyer, natural flash and trample, and a 1-per-turn life gain. More on this later as well.

Mistcutter Hydra - early-mid game blocker, late game mana-sink. Pro-blue and uncounterable are nice, plus it's hasty.

Nylea, God of the Hunt: Trample enabler and persistent blocker, plus a mana sink if I need it.

Prime Speaker Zegana - a very underappreciated Ravnican guild leader, the card draw is great and she can be huge if she comes in after a Hydra.

Prophet of Kruphix -the card that drew me to Bant, I love getting to play on my opponents turns as well as mine.

Sylvan Caryatid - good solid defender who offers color fixing if need be (which is rare).

Instants:

Selesnya Charm: makes Elvish Mystic a threat, get's rid of annoying large creatures (looking at you Desecration Demon) and a chump blocker if I need it.

Enchantments:

Detention Sphere: deals with everything that isn't a land of a Detention Sphere.

Kiora, the Crashing Wave: protection, card draw and hand thinning, and a very, very solid finisher. What more could you ask for?

"But Juls317, you have this deck listed in the "Infinite Combo" hub. Why is that?" Oh I'll feed you baby birds.

Combos:

Archangel of Thune+Horizon Chimera+Fathom Mage: Draw step, draw a card. Trigger Horizon Chimera, gain 1 life. Trigger Archangel, place +1/+1 counter on all creatures. Trigger Mage, draw card. Trigger Chimera, gain 1 life. Trigger Archangel, place counter. Trigger Mage, draw card. Proceed to draw through my deck (or stop at any point), then smash face with huge creatures.

Prime Speaker Zegana+Archangel of Thune+Fathom Mage+Horizon Chimera: Along the same lines, just using using Prime Speaker in the main phase to trigger it, instead of at my draw step.

Courser of Kruphix+Archangel of Thune+Fathom Mage(+Horizon Chimera): Courser can also trigger the combo with it's last ability, the Chimera just has to come in at the end to continue it.

Azorius Charm+Horizon Chimera+Archangel of Thune+Fathom Mage: Instant speed combo trigger with the Charm.

Sideboard: Non-existent at the moment. Plummet s for sure, but I haven't been to an FNM in a while as I've been at school, so I don't know what the meta is at my hometown LGS, so I'll have to see what it's like.

Potential changes: Yes, I would love to have Sphinx's Revs, but I'm not investing in them at their current price.

Updates Add

Dropped Polukranos for another Archangel of Thune, and dropped a Mistcutter Hydra and Sylvan Caryatid for 2x Azorius Charm.
