ELVES ARE BACK, BABY! That's right, elves are standard again and they're gonna whoop more ass than your home-brew tier-2 deck would. Let's start off with the basics, shall we?
Big Elves:
Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen - Lifegain, reach, and she's a lord. There's no possible way to make her better.
Dwynen's Elite - A nice turn 2 drop for 2 elves. So much value for an uncommon.
Shaman of the Pack
- A very nice finisher, especially when you have the board, playing her would do a nice 7-10 damage.
Mana Dorks:
Elvish Mystic - Not the OG dork, but close enough.
Leaf Gilder
- A strictly worse Elvish Mystic. But hey, it's a 2/1 for 2, so I'll take it.
Gnarlroot Trapper - Probably one of the most useful elves in this deck. You can pain for a green mana, sure. But the ability to give deathtouch to another attacking elf is great.
Card Draw / Sub-Tutor:
Sylvan Messenger - Helps get more ammunition when we're running out of elves to play.
Elvish Visionary - Good card draw to get gas out of the way.
Nissa, Sage Animist
- Card draw for 4 turns, then 36 damage for a finish.
Other:
Surrak, the Hunt Caller
- Only one of him, gives my new creatures haste, and a 5/4 for 4.
Nissa, Vastwood Seer
- Land draw.
Evolutionary Leap - Highly underestimated. Sac a creature to find a Shaman or the Pack, or even better.
Corpseweft
- Kill all my creatures? Okay, now I exile 5 creatures... aaannnnddd here's a 10/10.
Obelisk of Urd
- This is tribal elves. Why not?
Might of the Masses - I should run 4, this is a highly underrated pump spell to either kill off one of their creatures, or swing in for lethal.
Titanic Growth
- Instant +4/+4 for 2, so why not?
