It's Raining Goatmen

Standard* Aggro Budget RG (Gruul)

Magetan

Sideboard

Have you ever wanted to command an army of Goatmen? Can you just not get enough of those party-animals the Greeks called Satyrs? Well then you're in luck, because now there is a deck that can fulfill your craving for drunk bipedal animals.

The Plan: This will be a R/G aggro deck. As such, you will be playing creatures and turning them sideways a lot. Use buff spells like Titan's Strength and Hammerhand to boost your damage and then finish with Lightning Bolt if needed.

The Creatures: Satyr Hoplite is a great turn-one creature that buffs itself when you cast spells on it. Satyr Hedonist provides access to some extra mana for getting off that last Lightning Bolt. Since you will be attacking every turn, Satyr Nyx-Smith will allow you to generate more attackers each turn. Firedancer keeps you from having to make the tough choice of blowing up your opponent or his creatures. Xenagos for buffing creatures each turn, and what good Satyr deck doesn't include the Satyr god?

Monastery Swiftspear, while not a goatman, is too good of a turn-one threat to pass up.

The Spells: Titan's Strength and Awaken the Bear make creatures bigger, and Lightning Strike can easily finish off something your creatures could not. Hammerhand allows you to swing for a good amount of damage without worrying about blockers in the early game.

The Lands: Pretty basic land set up, Evolving Wilds to get lands out, Rugged Highlands for a nice dual land.

Any comments or criticisms are welcome. This deck is built on a budget, though, so there will be no fetch lands or Rabblemasters.
