Despite running primarily basic lands, this deck can reliably cast the commander on time. I playtested it 12 times and the average time to cast the commander was 5.5 turns.

The objective in early game is to get to casting the commander and to build a solid mana base. Then the commander gains unblockable while I build up creatures around him. Late game, here be dragons.
