New player here. I have no idea how to play RUG. I want to use Nivix Cyclops, but I'm not sure what the most efficient way is to use him. In fact, I often have trouble drawing him for some reason, and he's really my only win con.

I've tried straight up Izzet with cipher and Nivmagus Elemental and it hasn't worked too well so I thought about throwing more threats in there. Would Blistercoil Weird be too, um, weird?

Aetherling I'm unsure about-- usually by the time I play it I'm pretty much gone. Help? How do I take advantage of Nivix Cyclops?

So I played this deck for Dragon's Maze Game Day, and got fourth place. I went 2-0 against an American control thanks to very early 11/4 swings with Nivix Cyclops (with Hidden Strings into Artful Dodger into Weapon Surge filling out my Magical Christmas Land), 1-1-1 against a pretty terrifying Selesnya deck, whose tokens I just could not keep up with, and then I mana death'd with a 1-2 against someone playing Craig Wescoe's ridiculous deck here: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/eventcoverage/ptdgm13/sf2.

Overall, I'd say that I really need an alternate win con other than Nivix Cyclops, because Hidden Strings, Artful Dodger and Weapon Surge are all extremely dead cards in my hand when Nivix Cyclops isn't around. Nivmagus Elemental is a possibility, but the way it works with Cipher (you never get the full damage that turn, only next turn, when it might disappear due to a handy removal) is a little too clunky for me. Plus, I happen to like the effects of my spells ... I'll need work.
