Creature (3)

Instant (3)

This deck is playing around the combination of Nivmagus Elemental and Nivix Cyclops with Hidden Strings. Guttersnipe is considered for some extra damage and making the opponent crazy. Each time my opponent is casting something he gets it denied with a counterspell and is dealt 2 damage with Guttersnipe. When the opponent is not casting anything, he can watch the threat growing on my board unless I will release the big explosion.

Turn 1: Cast Nivmagus Elemental

Turn 2: Hidden Strings - Untap both lands and cipher on Nivmagus Elemental. Play Artful Dodge and counter it with Nivmagus Elemental making it a 3/4. Attack and counter the ciphered Hidden Strings, get a 5/6 Elemental.

Turn 3: Get Nivix Cyclops out, attack with the Elemental to get another Hidden Strings activated. Just to untap two lands and be able to counter with Syncopate if required.

Turn 4: Play another Artful Dodge on Nivix Cyclops, Flashback the remaining Artful Dodge on the Nivmagus Elemental. Cast Armed / Dangerous on the Cyclops and release the explosion!

Cyclops is hitting for 22 and Nivmagus Elemental for another 5. With the triggered Hidden Strings it would be possible to untap both for any required block in the next turn ... ah wait - there is no next turn :-)

Of course this deck can work like this, but takes more patience, as you need to react on your opponents play. This is why I inserted controll spells like Syncopate or Counterflux. turn/burn is another Card for taking some control but I am not quite sure about it. With Azorius Charm it is the same, I am thinking about exchanging it for Sphinx's Revelation.

Updates Add

Some minor modifications were done. Added the Azorius Charm and removed one land.

The playtest yesterday showed me the power this deck can have. I played a turn 2 Electromancer, a Turn 3 Guttersnipe. On Turn 4 I won the game; Having 4 mana on the board, casting a second Guttersnipe and cast a Hidden Strings on Electromancer (4 damage) untap two lands, casting an Artful Dodge on First Guttersnipe and flashback it on the Electromancer another 8 damage), attacking for 4 damage, Hidden Strings Cipher triggers (4 damage). 20 damage in total, plus 2 lands open and 2 cards in hand. Even all other matches went very devastating for my opponent as long as he is not able to remove my creatures!
