This is my take on a modern izzet deck.

CARD BREAKDOWN:

COUNTERS:

Mana Leak: Keep that mana open, or you will be sorry!

Remand: I see it and give it back to you!

Dissipate: Hard counter + Graveyard Hate.

Venser, Shaper Savant: Uncounterable spells or indestructible permanants...No problem!

Snapcaster Mage: My graveyard isnt full of dead cards yet!

Cryptic Command: Counter + MORE!

BURN:

Lightning Bolt: Modern red staple.

Electrolyze: TOKEN KILLER + card draw!

CARD ADVANTAGE:

Serum Visions Set up Delver of Secrets + Draw

Electrolyze: Draw a card + 2 damage!

Cryptic Command: Draw a card + MORE!

THE SIDEBOARD:

Blood Moon: Multicolored decks feel the pain

Pithing Needle: Activated abilities...I say nay to them.

Redirect: I wish your spell could help me!

Shattering Spree: Artifact/Affinity hate!

Spell Snare: Much two drops, such countered.

Spellskite: Hit him, not me!

Relic of Progenitus: Graveyard Hate!

Sowing Salt: For those lands you just don't want to see

That is my deck!...also I know I am missing fetch lands, but Scalding Tarn is out of my reach pricewise and tradewise at this time... (Update: 1 Arid Mesa Acquired!)
