Sideboard


The idea here is to trigger the creatures in the deck with instants and sorceries. Spellheart Chimera gets big becoming the beatstick, Guttersnipe fires from a distance, and Young Pyromancer makes tokens for every one of my instant/sorcery castings. Steam Augury keeps my draws swell and loads cards in the graveyard to pump Spellheart. Jace, Memory Adept can do the same, and Izzet Charm. AEtherling and Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius are in simply as finishers, the latter also gives me drawing power. Main weakness is the reliance on Spellheart with 3 toughness. If the counters can't stop the removal, then I like Disperse which can bounce him to my hand and make him +1 in power the next time I play him. Looking for suggestions to make this deck more tempo driven, hopefully finding new ways to protect Spellheart Chimera and getting it through for damage.
