Izzet Ramp (Maze's End Variant)

Standard* Combo RG (Gruul) UR (Izzet)

Ferus_vir

Sideboard

Dragonshift is one hell of a bomb to drop on your opponents. The idea behind this deck is to use the ramp provided by Gatecreeper Vine and Burning-Tree Emissary/Zhur-Taa Druid to not only build up to the 7 mana required to overload Dragonshift but to have bodies to throw at your opponents when you do.

Melek, Izzet Paragon gives you access to the top card of your library, speeding up the otherwise very control oriented deck.

Teleportal and Rubblebelt Raiders provide some early damage, so you dont have to throw everything into one homerun swing.

Izzet Charm, Pillar of Flame and Syncopate will slow the game down in your favor.

By now I'm sure you noticed I'm running Maze's End in this deck. And wondering why this helps the deck. The short answer is: IT DOSN'T. I'm just a stickler for quirky and otherwise gimmicky cards! was looking for a way to win with it, or at least have it as an alt-win condition.

Running all these guildgates and the Maze it self slow this deck waaaaayyy down. --- For a competitive version of this deck: Loose the gates and the maze in favor of shock and basic lands. And replace Izzet Charm with Farseek. You can see this version here:Gruul Aggro... THEN DRAGONSHIFT
