I bought the Mind vs. Might Duel Decks and have been playing with them for a couple of weeks. I now want to make the Mind deck into a competitive modern legal deck. I will use Goblin Electromancer and Baral, Chief of Compliance to reduce the cost of spells. I will then use Desperate Ritual and Pyretic Ritual to add mana to my pool. Then I will use my Instant and Sorcery cards at a greatly reduced cost. Instants like Grapeshot, Rift Bolt, and Volcanic Vision all reduce the life of my opponent. I know there is a Gifts Storm competitive modern deck, but I'm not going to be adding fetchlands to my deck.
