Enchantment (2)

I wanted to play something delver-esque in standard. I wandered around a bit and ended up with an Izzet deck based on powering up an Enigma Drake, or powering out a Cryptic Serpent, and beating down. Cheap spells and Search for Azcanta let you rip through your deck and sneak out quick wins, or keep your hand full of interaction to fight a longer battle.

Cathartic Reunion is the best version of this effect available. Chart a course is fine. You often cast it pre-combat just to toss an extra spell into the bin. This is a great sweltering suns deck. Fateful Showdown is this deck's Vraska's Contempt; 4 mana instant speed removal for creatures and planeswalkers, with upside. Kefnet gets to shine in this list, being able to actually get in on turn 4 most times, and keeping your hand full of gas.

Your mono-red match up is close. If you get the turn-3 4/4 Enigma Drake draw, you can race pretty effectively. If you get the Sweltering Suns draw you get to play it back a bit, survive, and drown them in card advantage. Kefnet hold Hazoret at bay effectively. Side in Essence Scatter for Fateful Showdown and Commit // Memory. On the draw take out Censor for Glorybringer.

Your temur matchup is pretty good. Their deck doesn't like Sweltering Suns, and your creatures scale up well in grindy games. If they clog up the air with Thopters you can fling your drake at their face.
