Welcome to the deck that will let you wheel yourself into a stupor! Is your only goal in life to draw as many cards as possible? Do you enjoy accidentally winning out of nowhere? Do you have an encyclopedic knowledge of the stack and want to flaunt that knowledge? If you answered yes to any of those, this could be the deck for you!

Arjun, the Shifting Flame will make it so you never keep your hand for long! Wheel effects like Mindmoil , Jace's Archivist , and classic Windfall keep your hand full of other spells so you never need to keep a dead hand.

Our win conditions are many, and when one fails, you can keep wheeling your hand until you find the next. Our payoffs are cards like Psychic Corrosion that mill our opponents for every card we draw, or Psychosis Crawler to kill them with damage (The crawler doesn't die between wheels, as it only checks before & after, not during). Even if all else fails, one funny little spell named Fists of Flame can turn this deck into a Voltron strategy instantly! We also have some spicy 2 card combos in here to dig up should you happen across one. Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity being one, and Alhammeret's Archive and Laboratory Maniac being another.

As for protection, Talarand, Sky Summoner makes blockers that will chump for days, Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots for Arjun's protection, and low cost counter-magic is all we have. This deck benefits much more from free spells than others, so consider running cards like Pact of Negation , Force of Negation or even Disrupting Shoal if you're looking to upgrade.

For every Izzet player, the stack is their playground, and this deck is no exception. You can cast instants on top of Arjun's trigger, allowing you to actually cast multiple spells from the same hand, although you would then need to wheel twice.

This deck and Commander are highly customize-able, so feel free to put in or take out cards that you think would do well here! It really encapsulates the idea of Izzet for me. Casting spells, getting new ideas, constantly changing their thinking in whatever direction they want to go in that moment. Crazed scientists working to learn the unknowable, completely without direction.
