(RECOMMENDATIONS/HELP ARE ALWAYS WELCOME)

This is my Pauper High Tide Mill deck. It is not nearly as fast as its Legacy brother, but it is still proven to be quite consistent and a lot of fun/not too hard to pilot. The goal: is to get out as many Jace's Erasure as possible and then use Whirlpool Rider or Tolarian Winds to discard/shuffle your hand back into the deck and then draw that many cards, thereby effectively milling your opponent. Brainstorm, Ponder and Preordain are also very good at helping you do this while sculpting your hand and filtering your top-decks.

Other Key Cards:

  1. Daze helps you control while you are tapped out, and will also replace itself with an island so you'l be able to keep your hand full for your Whirlpool Rider .

  2. Gush Effectively does the same thing, while also helping to get more out of your deck when you are tapped out.

  3. Muddle the Mixture is a card that will help you tutor for any missing pieces you need for your combo, and if you need it, is a fine Counterspell by itself.

  4. Compulsive Research is for when youve got lots of lands in your hand from Gush and Daze. It draws you three cards meaning you get another three triggers for the Jace's Erasure s.

  5. Gitaxian Probe is something else to do when your tapped out or before/after you cast your other cantrips.

  6. Lotus Petal is extra mana.

-Hey everyone! I am currently looking for suggestions for other cards to put in the sideboard and would really appreciate any responses! Thank you!-

The Sideboard:

Since the individual pieces in this deck are so tight, the most important utility cards for winning against your opponent are in the sideboard.

  1. Hydroblast is brought in against Burn, or any other aggressive red decks such as Goblins or Kiln Fiend/Nivix Cyclops.

  2. Relic of Progenitus is for powerful graveyard decks such as delve, dredge, tortured existence etc. Since both of our decks will be slower in style, we'll only need one.

  3. Snapback and Spontaneous Mutation are for the vast majority of pauper decks which are creature-heavy. Both serve a good purpose and both will help you survive while you set up your turns and mill.

  4. Tolarian Winds Is there in case you feel that you need to be faster/discard more? IDK I honestly don't think this is really necessary but the rest of the sideboard seems pretty solid to me so eh.

Notes: The goal of the deck is to mill fast but also gradually, so remember to be patient. Plan accordingly and use your sideboard to defend yourself against faster, more creature-heavy decks and you will be just fine. Most people will say that Pauper has no room for combo/mill strategies... Lets prove them wrong! _

!!!Thanks for viewing!!!
