I like to think of this deck as my super mill deck. The cards in here are intended to either lock down my opponent or obliterate their library. It's sadistically satisyfing, as I'm sure anyone who enjoys milling can understand.
Jace, Memory Adept
is the glue holding this deck together. He's quite possibly the best card in the game for milling. I can drop him on turn 5, and, depending on how many copies of
Jace's Erasure
and/or Sphinx's Tutelage I have on the field, I can mill my opponent for 2-10 cards, while replacing him in my hand with the card he drew for me by activating his +1. Late game, I can drop him and mill for 10, then follow up with a Mind Sculpt, or Ponder to trigger the enchantments. If he manages to make it to his ultimate, then you can beat as many as three opponents simultaneously by making yourself draw as well to trigger your enchantments, and you can always beat 2 opponents at once doing this.
He also provides an excellent distraction from my life total when he's on the field, as my opponent is forced to immediately deal with him or watch their library rapidly disappear. Whether this is in the form of burn spells or extra creatures going down the field, it can buy me the extra turns I need to finish them off.
Overall, this deck is incredibly fast for mill, as I've been able to lock down a win by turn 5 or 6 consistently, and finish them off 2-3 turns later. It's not fast enough for the highest tier Modern, but replace Ponder with something Modern legal, and you have a medium strength deck to use in the format.
WARNING:
Do NOT use this deck against your friends, for obvious reasons. They will become very mad, harsh words will be exchanged, and you will be forced to defend yourself in a disproportionately weighted match, in my case 3v1, where they're all going straight for your throat (life total). Winning said disproportionately weighted match is excellent for your ego, but horrible for friendships. Seriously, you're going to need new friends every time you use this deck, at least until you find someone playing Eldrazi.
Alternatively, you could just give them some Elixir of Immortality's to use.
