Sideboard

Welcome to Jarad's milling company! Here at the milling co we believe that what is dead never dies. We are a green company so we also believe in reusing everything!

UPDATE: Magic community I really need your help! How to deal with Rest in Peace specifically. Other graveyard hate is less of a problem but this is persistent. Not only does it wipe out my progress but it also maintains the HATE. Please give me some ideas I am in need!

My thoughts are basically sideboarding four golgari charms, some duress, or maybe thragtusk or some other big creature to sub out splinterfright. Thoughts?

With the release of dragons maze I saw the opportunity for this ole deck to get an upgrade. This is going to be more experimental than before, so comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Side board also needs to be trimmed.

I'm also debating dropping ghoultree down to 2x, so thoughts on tweaking numbers here are also appreciated

Short list of desired uses:

Deathrite Shaman this guy is pretty important to get out early. I expect to be milling some of my own instants and sorceries, and most will not have flashback. I can us them to damage my opponent, I can also blow out my opponents instant/sorceries. Against aggro decks he is key to survival. I can exile their destroyed creatures which is key to survival against early aggression decks. Also, with Splinterfright and Grisly Salvage I get lots of lands in the graveyard. With one in the grave on turn three I can get out a Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord.

Splinterfright - this guys is an engine for this deck. Built in trample and self mill helps this deck run well.

Ghoultree -- essential to this deck. A 10/10 is really hard for most decks to deal with. He can also be given trample from Rancor or sacrificed with Jarad for ten.

Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord -- he is creature benefiting from all the graveyard creatures. Use his sac ability to end games. If I have not other options and a lot of land (happens more often than you would think) then I can sack lands to get him back.

Kessig Cagebreakers -- Avoids chump blockers and big boys a lot. By the time you get him out its not uncommon to swing for 10-15.

Rot Farm Skeleton --Decide to go with this because we can toss him the graveyard with lothleth, grisly salvage, or drown in filth and till play him as if he was in hand. Great card potentially.

(EDIT) So far the skeleton is an allstar and I would love to add more of him.

Lotleth Troll early defender with his regen if needed. Can also discard creatures in a creature heavy hand (ex: Rot Farm Skeleton /Gravecrawler.

gravecrawlerr -- Early tempo attack, although it is unclear if I should have four of him or four of deathrite shaman. Deathrite right now for utility purposes.

Drown in Filth finally this deck has some viable removal!!

Golgari Charm -- toolbox card. Regen against kill decks, -1/1 for aggro, destroy enchant against white or blue decks. 2 in the sideboard if more are needed.

Gnaw to the Bone -- wanted to mention this because it is essential in my match ups against aggro. Gives me usually about two more turns which is often all I need against red deck wins or rakdos aggro.

Typhoid Rats Early blocker and a swap for gravecrawler against aggro.

Varolz, the Scar-Striped seems like he would be a solid side board option against removal decks. Open to thoughts on this.

Duress SB against control to get rid of supreme verdict, terminus, etc.

Updates Add

With the new improvements to the deck and sideboard I have destroyed a boros aggro, four color control, and WBG control decks. Seems like its working out. Please let me know if anyone else has had success with it.
