Final List that Joe works towards

Cards are in the specific categories for what they will MOST OFTEN do. Cards do lots of things, but we have to see them for what they are and not what they COULD do. Example Sundering Growth Populates, but it is in removal because it HAS to destroy something first. Do not destroy your own thing to populate UNLESS it wins you the game THAT turn.

Land - Fetch for Temple Garden or Savannah first, then basics. We don't play lands that enter tapped because they are too slow (unless they are REALLY REALLY GOOD) and we want to be faster than light

ManaDorks - are slower than mana rocks, but cheaper (usually 1cmc)

ManaRocks - we play green, so we play dorks instead of rocks, but we still play ONLY THE BEST rocks

RampSpells - give us more lands to use, and cheap too. Use Land Grant for free only.

Anthem - Buffs all your creatures while on the field

BoardWipe - Destroys everything on the board in case you are losing

CardAdvantage - Draws you cards, the single most important thing in magic. Can't cast spells if no spells in hand.

Removal - These spells deal with problems that we don't want to deal with. Path to Exile CAN be used to ramp you if IT MAKES YOU WIN THE GAME THIS TURN, otherwise it is a removal spell.

TokenGeneration - Main Mechanic of the deck. We are swinging wide, not tall. Hit em with 400 1/1s

Populate - core mechanic of the deck, these few things mostly populate and that's it. They can be used in other ways, but most of the time we want them to populate

SeeingDouble - Populate on a permanant. Hit em with 400 1/1s

Utility - good stuff in your color set that has lots of options, or lots of ways to be used. Make all your guys indestructible then swing out, or use Mother of Runes to give Vigor protection and swing through their defenses.
