Hey guys! This is my first attempt at posting a deck on Tappedout, so I apologize for any ridiculous mistakes I might make. Thank you for your time in looking at this, I really appreciate it!
So, on to the deck! An underappreciated card from Theros that caught my attention, (and apparently the attention of others, as I've seen several decks like this) is my buddy Underworld Cerberus. I like him for several reasons; foremost among them, he's a freaking badass. But he's also a very efficiently costed, nigh-unblockable beatstick that, when used correctly, also provides you with a huge amount of card advantage. Without further ado, I present Junderworld Cerberus!
The idea is to pump out efficient midrange threats (i.e. Desecration Demon, Reaper of the Wilds, and the guardian of the Underworld himself) and put pressure on the opponent while removing their creatures and Planeswalkers with Jund's wide repertoire of destruction spells. (Abrupt Decay, Dreadbore, Hero's Downfall, etc.)
What separates Junderworld Cerberus from the rest of the game's aggresive midrange decks is it's ability to recharge itself after its creatures have been removed. When the Cerberus dies. he refills your (and your opponents') hand with all of the creatures you've lost over the course of the game. Every 1-for-1 removal spell your opponent has spent keeping your demons, gorgons, and hydras from beating face has suddenly become wasteful. You'll have all o f you're creatures back, and will likely have the mana to dump them all out faster than they can retaliate.
But what about fellow midrange decks, or, even worse, aggressive decks? Giving them all their creatures back midgame is not exactly a match-winning plan. Enter Scavenging Ooze and Rakdos Charm; they'll keep your opponent's graveyard empty of anything useful, (or in the case of the Charm, completely empty!) and free to benefit from Cerberus' graveyard shenanigans yourself.
That's it! I know there are a ton of things that can be fixed with this, I'm still learning how to be a good Magic player. I would be more than happy to hear what you think about it, and what I can do to improve it. Thank you, and happy holidays!
P.S. I think the Cerberus looks like a Mike to me. Thoughts?
