I created this deck and I am currently 6-1 in the "play" category of MTGA. I think there might be some competitiveness to the deck, but I do feel it needs more testing to be had. for a fun casual deck, so far 10/10.
I wanted to stray a little bit away from the Companion mechanic. I know Umori, the Collector would be fine in the deck, and might make the deck better. However,Vivien, Champion of the Wilds is a nice card. She helps us get our bombs mid game. I have used her to look for a cheap mutate to trigger Dirge Bat.The card that does good and some harm is Mythos of Nethroi. this card can do work and i like the thought of having some control spells in my hand, but can make some cards like Auspicious Starrix whiff.
to play the deck is rather simple, ramp early. then turn then mid game you mutate fatties.
My favorite thing about this deck is the kitties I am able to play. all jokes aside, I have a decent amount of graveyard resurrection. Nethroi, Apex of Death from a boardwipe can be insane. Even Necropanther is good to pick up a creature to become mutated with. Brokkos, Apex of Forever is a solid card with trample that keeps coming back with vengeance. I once resurrected him 3 times in a game. Snapdax, Apex of the Hunt is the star of the show. making a 6/6 double strike, and the possibility to kill a blocker or the only blocker is nice.
I would not mind some feedback. idk if people actually make decks on here, but please give this a try. I enjoy it so far.
Also, i am currently not putting together a sideboard. However, if this deck pops off and people want to see a sideboard. I might make one.
