I'm at a weird place with Magic right now. I'm lost. There are too many ideas. Projects get started. Projects are left unfinished. Decks are left unfinished. Sometimes when the path ahead is unclear, you need to retrace your steps.

This is me retracing my steps.

I'm a kid again. I forget how I learned about Magic but I fell instantly in love as soon as I saw the cards. It was Fallen Empires. There was Hymn to Tourach and Soul Exchange. Black was my colour from Day 1.

Fast forward.

I grew up near a video store and as a result, my friends and I watched a lot of B-rated horror movies. Then, Romero. Zombies. I'm hooked and my favourite tribe is decided.

Fast Forward.

It's midnight and I'm at the Journey into Nyx prerelease. I see a buddy. We make bets on who's getting a foil King Macar, the Gold-Cursed. We take our seats and we're told to crack packs. Pack 1. Foil Macar. We go nuts. I immediately build an EDH deck. Combos galore and value. Added to the list.

Fast forward.

It's the #JustDimirThings - Grimgrin Zombies phase of my EDH life. "Decent" combos, lots of zombies, tribal synergies and value. The deck is fun as hell.
