This is/was my very first EDH deck, and I have been slowly upgrading it to the point where it can compete. I'm still working on acquiring everything I need to make it top notch, but it's on its way!

The mindset behind this deck is pretty simple. Not too much ramp is used in this deck, as a way of creating a buffer between yourself and more aggressive players. In a multiplayer environment, it helps not to be a target early on, especially with Kaalia. Instead of blasting out Kaalia and hammering creatures down people's throats, it bides its time until you can protect Kaalia, then you start using her safely to bring out the real threats.
