Karador: Landfall Chieftain; Annihilation's Herald

Commander / EDH* Competitive Multiplayer

Maybeboard

The Deck is designed to maintain board control by establishing engines; Once your opponents are effectively locked-down, Eye of Ugin can be used to tutor-out and cycle through (if needed) the Eldrazi Titans.

The Deck aims for synergy betweens various cards, such as:Reassembling Skeletons/Emeria Angel + Attrition/skullclamp + Aura ShardsAzusa, Lost but Seeking/Oracle of Mul Daya + Crucible of Worlds + Strip Mine/Fetch Land + Titania, Protector/Emeria Angel/Admonition Angel/Emeria ShepherdSurvival of the Fittest + Loyal Retainers + Legendary Creature

The ideal combination of lands for late-game would be Cabal Coffers + Eye of Ugin + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth ; Once established, the Eldrazi and be appropriately abused as-needed.

The Deck also employs a few win-condition orientated combos Like Revillark + Karmic Guide + Acidic Slime + Duplicant + Varloz, the Scar-Striped and Karador, Ghost Chiefitan + Yosei, the Morning Star + Loyal Retainers. While effective, these are rarely used: usually only when faced with an opponent's own combo of sorts.

There is s sub-theme of Reanimation, however, it's mainly used as a way to cheat out the heavy-hitters when needed; even Karador himself is only cast when your hand runs low or resources are hard to find. That being said: the deck is not as susceptible to gave-hate as other Karador decks.

Riftsweeper holds a surprising amount of weight in this deck: even though (as I said before) I don't consider this a reanimation-themed deck, exiling will occasionally impede your ability to maintain your engines- enter Riftsweeper. Also, the synergy between him and Increasing Ambition/Varloz, The Scar-Striped is fairly impressive in my book.

The Eldrazi Titans and the Landfall Angels (Emeria Angel, Admonition Angel and Emeria Shepherd) are Key: each group fulfills a vital role in the deck once engines need to be or have been established:Titans= Removal/card advantage/shuffle/Win-ConAngels= Removal/token generation/instant-speed recursion

One weakness I would say is it's speed and inability to gain life: High-speed Aggro and Burn-orientated strategies hurt significantly.

There are, in fact, a few cards I would like to add, however:Vampiric Tutor (increase my ability to tutor for non-legendary/colorless cards)Nissa, Vastwood Seer   (Legendary, green, land-fixes, recurs w/ Reveillark, Flips to Planeswalker- what's not to love?)Spawnsire of Ulamog (Allows Eye of Ugin to also tutor for token generation/win-con, allows me to play an Eldrazi-board w/ Ulamog, Ceaseless Hunger, It The Betrays, Void Winnower, All is Dust, Pathrazer, excreta)Seedborn Muse + Winding Canyons (Makes shit hit the fan; downside: does relativity nothing in a vacuum)

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this build: it does exactly what I want it to do, when I need it to do it. The consistency is fantastical and the deck rarely draws-dead.
