This is my favorite deck, a Simic devotion deck. It is designed to build devotion/mana as quickly as possible and then play my entire library as early as turn 3. It started out as a mono-green hydra devotion deck focused on creature tokens and +1/+1 counters, but as I made it progressively more focused and consistent I dropped the tokens and counters and focused on the devotion. This led me to what I consider one of the most exciting improvements to my deck: Staff of Domination.
If I have Staff of Domination out with Karametra's Acolyte and at least 5 devotion I can have infinite mana/health, then use the mana to draw and play anything and everything I may need. I love the Staff because it combos with so many spells in my deck and gives me several things to pour my mana into. I can alternately activate the infinite combo with Kiora's Follower + Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
and 7 devotion. Now that I have added Overgrowth
+
Utopia Sprawl
, I can even do the combo with the Follower without Nykthos if I use these enchantments to get a Forest that I can tap for 5 mana.
I have been working on this deck for a while and I am pretty excited about how far it's come. Feel free to try it out, let me know what you think, and give me any suggestions you may have. Huge thanks to the people who have helped me already with their feedback.
Here's the essential layout of my deck:
The deck is predominantly green for consistency with my devotion and obviously for the mana ramp. I start with
Utopia Sprawl
or Arbor Elf for building up mana and devotion from turn 1. I can then follow up with one of several spells: Kiora's Follower, Lightning Greaves, Overgrowth, Predator Ooze, Yisan, the Wanderer Bard, or Staff of Domination. The Greaves can be great to play early game for protection and so that I can use several of the creatures that tap for mana as soon as I play them and without needing extra mana to equip it.
Once I've played some of these spells, the next step is Karametra's Acolyte. This, in combination with all the aforementioned spells and the possibility of immediate use via the Greaves, gives me everything I need to play the Staff and get the win. I playtested the deck extensively by itself just to test the draw, and the average turn for playing my entire deck was 4.53. As you'll see I have a pretty solid list of things to help me get the devotion and draw that I need, and a few tricks to protect my creatures and pull it all together.

This deck has been a lot of fun to build, improve, and play. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!
