Karametra's Elves

As compared to the Enchantress Version of the Karametra Deck, I wanted to build a more traditional Karametra Deck but with Elves. I have been into the whole tribal theme lately but not a lot of tribes have a lot of creature solutions to problems. The thing about this deck is that I also wanted to utilize both landfall triggers, tokens, tribal elves to try and overwhelm the board to win.

The Ramping

So how does this all work? To begin, Elves naturally have a great synergy as a package. But they do like to be all out together so I had to figure out how to get them out as fast as possible. This meant getting mana dorks to help get things going before Karametra enters the feel to really ramp out. But guess what elves have the best dorks! Cards like, Elvish Harbinger, Elvish Mystic, Elvish Archdruid, Fyndhorn Elves, Joraga Treespeaker, Llanowar Elves, Priest of Titania, Quirion Elves, Wirewood Channeler. The goal with these dorks is to start out with, Llanowar Elves, Elvish Mystic, Fyndhorn Elves, as the one drops that helps ramp into the better 2/3 drop elves that can get things rolling faster. Another way to get more dorks is to get Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury which can pump out more little dorks. I am also running things like Emerald Medallion, Paradox Engine, Zendikar Resurgent, Seedborn Muse, to get the most value of mana either to double tap or get more per tap. And also Sol Ring.



What About Lands?

We can't forget that our commander is Karametra, God of Harvests is one to really help with ramp as we cast more creatures on the board. So we want to try and use these lands to get benefits in various ways. Besides getting to get our big boys out sooner, we want to have things like landfall triggers to get some bonuses. Cards like Rampaging Baloths and Emeria Angel both help us get more creatures on the board to tag along with our elves. I have also thought off adding cards like Lotus Cobra and Amulet of Vigor to get more mana but would rather potentially add cards like Avenger of Zendikar and Zendikar's Roil that could help get more creatures on the board for each land.


Got The Lands, Got The Ramp, Now What?

Now that we got everything all set up the next step is to do one of two things, get more cards or get the big boys out. The first one is the get more cards. Notably in most hands once we get the ramp going and what not we tend to run low on cards and hands and sometimes don't have the finishers we need to win which is why we need some good card draw. Because most of the elves and creatures entering the battlefield are small we have Mentor of the Meek which will let us draw some cards that way. But what we really want is for either Regal Force, Rishkar's Expertise, or Shamanic Revelation to get lots of cards back into our hand.
