I took about a year off of MTG but still casually glanced over the shelves when I got groceries. When I saw Karlov of the Ghost Council I immediately fell in love.

This deck uses Karlov and similar abilities to grow some beefy threats. There are lifegain effects that are passive (like Soul Sisters), active (like Debt to the Deathless), lifelink, extort, and table sapping (like Blood Artist).

There are also fun interactions that use a lot of life or counters, a few defensive combat tricks, and a dash of recursion.

I'd really love some feedback!
