Sek'Kuar. Who is he? He's an orc shaman from the Karplusan Mountains, touched by a Void Maw and fed it the corpses of people from the doomed and plague-filled city of Krov in exchange for his life and a portion of its power. He then used his power to build an army of undead and used said army to ruthlessly attack everyone who dared cross him. Even thousands of years later, rumors abound that he's still alive, waiting for the right moment to return and destroy all. In other words, he's pretty badass. And not many people know he even exists. Almost every time I play with new people and bring him out at least one of them asks the big question, "Who is he?" For me, that's satisfying, it feels like I'm playing a unique deck among unique decks. All right, enough background.

So what does this deck do? Like Sek'Kuar, your goal is to sacrifice your creatures and take your enemies down with you, either through an army of Graveborn or draining everyone on the board down once you get a combo going.

There are a couple infinite combinations that will either boost another card in the deck or are a win condition on their own. Jund usually likes to go aggro, but I decided to go combo for my deck.

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Murderous Redcap + any sac outlet= Infinite damage. This also works with Gev, Scaled Scorch in place of Mikaeus. Sac the Redcap, pick either Persist or Undying, it comes back, sac it again, choose the other, and it infinitely yo-yos back to play, pinging anything you choose to inevitable death. For Gev, if you target and damage an opponent with the Redcap's effect, then when you sacrifice it it returns with both a -1/-1 and a +1/+1 counter, which cancel each other out. Then either target a different opponent when the Redcap returns and get more counters on the Redcap or just target the same opponent if they're the only one and you win.

There is also an infinite combo that works well with any card that cares when a creature dies.

Reassembling Skeleton + Bog Initiate or Initiates of the Ebon Hand + Ashnod's Altar= Infinite dying or ETB triggers on cards. Sac the Skeleton to the Altar, use one of the Initiates to convert one of that to black mana and use that to reanimate it infinitely. Either of them and Phyrexian Altar and either Pitiless Plunderer or Sifter of Skulls also equal infinite sacrifices.

I'm open to suggestions. My own playgroup isn't competitive, and doesn't care for excessive board wipes, so I actively avoided those to not annoy my group. This is a deck that's easy to either go Rube-Goldberg and combo out, or ham it up and go aggro swarm. If you enjoy either, this could be a deck to try.

I hope you enjoyed my first deck tech!

Updates Add

A few more tweaks after a small issue during a game revealed I need more sacrifice outlets.

Gemstone Array out, Phyrexian Altar in. The Array and Ashnod's Altar basically acted as the Phyrexian Altar, but now that I have it, both Altars work well on their own.

Nether Traitor out, Thallid Soothsayer in. I need less sac fodder, more sac outlets. In that same vein Arguel's Blood Fast  Flip out, Evolutionary Leap in.

Lastly Reincarnation out, Damnation in. I need more flat board wipes, so the small benefit of Reincarnation can be sacrificed for another board wipe.
