The idea is to play with your life count. Get Death's Shadow out fast and feed it to Rite of Consumption or Essence Harvest. Same thing for Hunted Horror.
On top of letting you bring out Death's Shadow as fast as possible, Wall of Blood, Spoils of the Vault,
Plunge into Darkness
and Toxic Deluge are all life outlets that also serve a goal. Wall of Blood pumps itself to prepare for a Rite of Consumption, Essence Harvestor
Consuming Vapors
. Spoils of the Vault and
Plunge into Darkness
find exactly what you need. Toxic Deluge just kills things cheaply.
Unearth
brings back any sacced creature cheaply for a second run. Fun.
Edit: Took
Consuming Vapors
out as it doesn't do much. Took out Toxic Deluge as it doesn't directly contribute to the jank. Added Gitaxian Probe and
Street Wraith
as replacements. Don't need life, anyway.
Changed sideboard, taking out Disciple of Bolas and Thoughtseize, adding more Leylines of Sanctity, Bojuka Bog, and the secret deck tech:

! Damn that card's hilarious in this deck.
I'm not sure if Glaring Spotlight or Prowler's Helm are the right fits for this deck, so I've left them in the maybeboard for now. Splashing green for Varolz, the Scar-Striped may be a great decision, or a terrible one, no idea yet.
You could run some fetchlands purely for the deck thinning, but I find this deck pretty consistent already. And I don't have the money for fetchlands. :)
