I've always wanted to build a mono black artifact deck because of all the "Nim" creatures and various shenanigans. But it didnt exist a commander I was happy with, untill now. King Macar was just the legendary creature I was waiting for, he is clear the way for my beaters while making a ton of artifacts to boost them.

The general plan to get Macar going is making him a artifact by various means ( Silverskin Armor , Liquimetal Coating and so on) and using all tap/untap abilities to keep the board the way you like it: No blockers with a ton of artifact for yourself.

There also exist some "semi-combos" with Clock of Omens . When Macar is an artifact, tap him+the clock to exile a creature, make a Gold token and untap himself. Then you just have to tap him+the Gold token to untap himself untill the board is clear.

This deck is still in developing state (as all EDH deck) and Im always open to new ideas and tips to make the deck better.
