Playing Kroxa be like:

Enter my 13th commander! (and it kinda fits the number lol)

This one was kinda unplanned and when I noticed it was ready to play.

I had for the longest time this casual 60-card discard deck that I tried to adapt for commander. My first attempt was Black Velvet Virtus, but it didn't worked out. A little bit later I adapted it for Oathbreaker and it was kinda cool, but I only played the format like 2 times.

None of my previous attempts to adapt it felt as good as the 60-card deck... Until Kroxa appeared. The first thing I noticed was his art, I thought like "Yhorm, my old friend, is that you?"

And then I read his mechanic, and oh boy, his mechanic feels just SO GOOD.

So yeah, now I have a {B}{R} EDH for the first time. My opponents will be losing cards just like losing souls. :3

A little bit about the deck:

Discard pain: Fell Specter, Megrim, Liliana's Caress, Raiders' Wake, Bloodchief Ascension and Syr Konrad, the Grim.

Empty-hand pain: Quest for the Nihil Stone, Shrieking Affliction, Davriel, Rogue Shadowmage, Painful Quandary and Hollowborn Barghest.

Sacrifice it before it sacrifice itself: Soldevi Adnate, Culling Dais, Phyrexian Tower, Altar of Dementia, Spark Reaper, Woe Strider and Ashnod's Altar.

Revive it so it can die again: Phyrexian Reclamation, Palace Siege, Claim / Fame, Unearth, Call to the Netherworld and Decaying Soil.

Synergy and value: Waste Not, Asylum Visitor, Sangromancer, Pain Magnification, Nightmare Shepherd, Erebos, Bleak-Hearted and Geth's Grimoire.

And that's pretty much it. I got some good games even against better decks, because of the chaotic factor in the discard mechanic. If build for Duel Commander I believe it could get a lot more close and personnal with cards likes Distress, Hymn to Tourach, Sinkhole and all forms of 1 CMC "look at your hand and discard" spells.
