A work-in-progress four-color Enchantress deck. This deck archetype seeks to take advantage of an underappreciated, underrepresented, and under-respected card type and synergies involving it. Enchantments have a wide variety of effects and are interacted with less than all other permanent types. Verduran Enchantress and several cards with the same effect make all of our enchantments better.

Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis have the right colors for interesting enchantment shenanigans while offering an inoffensive group Explore effect. They are costed to be deployed as early as turn 2, and immediately generate value and ward against stray attacks. I expect that they will seldom die to something other than proper board wipes.

The known green-white enchantress core of Enchantress's Presence et al, Sterling Grove , and Academy Rector is supplemented by the addition of blue with Copy Enchantment and Thassa, God of the Sea . Red also brings myriad options like Molten Vortex , Fevered Visions , Wild Research , Keranos, God of Storms , Form of the Dragon , and Obliterate .

There are several builds available with this commander and archetype, such as a controlling Ghostly Prison pillow fort, a friendly Mana Flare specialization, or a combo build optimized around Enduring Ideal or perhaps Enchanted Evening . In this current build, I have chosen to maximize the potential of my enchantress effects by playing lots of cheap enchantments that pull their own weight, like Burgeoning , Stony Silence , and Standstill . Playing extra lands is an important part of this strategy, so cards like Lotus Cobra , Crucible of Worlds , and Titania, Protector of Argoth are added to gain from this. The deck wins by accruing lots of value, especially with Sigil of the Empty Throne and Primeval Bounty ; casting a big Replenish or Open the Vaults is not bad either.
