Landslides for only $10: Modern Super-Budget Brew

Modern Aggro Budget Mono-Red Theme/Gimmick

Maybeboard

So, I heard some rumblings about people who want to get into modern, but just don't seem to have the necessary cash to get into the format. Dredge is $700, Affinity is hitting $900, even a thought-to-be budget deck, such as goblins, is creeping around $400 for the formal list! This could be a problem for a guy who just wants to play the format at their LGS, to dip their foot in, without busting your next paycheck. Well look no further,

Crush your foes at the local game storeMONO RED CRUSHERfor only $!

This deck uses Countryside Crusher to bash in for an easy turn 4 kill when combined with Temur Battle Rage! You may be thinking to yourself right now = "There are only 5 Maindecked nonland cards here, how does this pile of crap work??"

Well we use the fact that crusher always gives us a nonland draw due to it cycling through our deck to get the combo easier! We don't need expensive blue cantrips like Serum Visions and Gitaxian Probe to get to this combo, which is why the deck is overall budget! Which is why this is a great deck! Lets look into the cards that make this deck the deck it is now!

  • Countryside Crusher

This is the reason the deck is so effective! We use this to draw into more of him, or our winning combo piece, Battle Rage! With all the power he can get by turn 4, he gets out of control for an opponent when they have no good removal for him. This guy ends the game in our favor!

  • Temur Battle Rage

Remember that Crusher doesn't have trample, which means against something like Squadron Hawk, he doesn't get to deal damage and this deck becomes real bad, real fast. Battle Rage is the answer to this problem, as it makes crusher way bigger than he was ever intended to be, and be able to seal a game way easier! Use this card, ALWAYS!

  • Ghitu Encampment

This is the backup plan for if our crusher does initially get removed before it does its stuff. It can block tokens effectively and it is the only manland in our colors!

  • Ghost Quarter

This is for when your opponent is playing Eldrazi variants, Zoo, Tron, etc. This allows us to keep our turn 4 tempo as we can use this to basically keep out scary manlands, mana cheating, and basically any other thing that stops you from proceeding in life! Good Stuff!

Please Upvote this deck if you want to make it, I love suggestions as well, but if the suggestions are out of the budget, then I will still put them in the maybeboard! In the Maybeboard right now is a potential sideboard for if you want to make this deck more consistent against the meta! Thanks for all the support! Peace!
