For those who don't know, Wizards has brought Leagues back to MTG. In League, you get a sealed box with three boosters and a record sheet. You need to build a 30+ card deck with the cards from your boosters and basic lands. If you lose three times (which I have once), you can buy another booster. You can also buy one booster per week after the first week. However, you can't take your cards home (to discourage cheating), so I wrote down the cards I had and used this site to build a new deck.

Here's the deck I built last night, which lost 3/3 and I bought a new pack.

Sunscorched Desert, Naga Oracle, Cartouche of Zeal, Edifice of Authority, Bloodlust Inciter, Initiate's Companion, Pursue Glory, Cancel, Watchers of the Dead, Trial of Strength, 2x Benefaction of Rhonas, Seeker of Insight, Shimmerscale Drake, Emberhorn Minotaur, Shefet Monitor, Cradle of the Accursed, Blazing Volley, Cascading Cataracts, Naga Vitalist, 3x Island, 3x Mountain, 4x Forest

Cradle of the Accursed turned out to be one of the best cards. I usually had mana almost every turn, so if I had no creatures out, I could turn the Cradle into a Zombie. Trial of Strength was also great because of the extra Beast it gave me.

Some surprisingly useful cards include Benefaction of Rhonas and Naga Oracle. When there are only 30 cards in the deck, these help to get the ones you need.

I'm still a beginner, so I need to practice triggers and strategy. I may have done better in my matches if I'd read the cards more carefully. For example. I mixed up the abilities of Naga Vitalist and Cascading Cataracts; I thought Cascading Cataracts only gave me the color I "could produce," Which is the Naga's restriction.
