This deck is effective and simple to use. A great learner's deck, this deck doesn't use any complex tactics or combos, and all the cards used are very self explanatory, though players will be exposed to most facets of MTG through using this deck. It is also very cheap compared to most decks as effective, sitting a little above 35 US dollars at high and dipping to just above 5 US dollars low, depending on where and how you buy. This means new players can get into the game without feeling like they've invested in it.

As far as the cards this deck contains, it will introduce players to "burn" removal through Lightning Axe and Bloodshot Trainee. Bloodshot Trainee will also make the player used to the nerfs and restrictions some cards have, and how to work around them. Boldwyr Intimidator will help players understand creature types and their applications, Obsidian Battleaxe and Bone Saw will introduce artifacts and equipments, and various cards throughout the deck will familiarize the new player with Trample, Reach and Double Strike.

A key card in this deck is Obsidian Battle-Axe. Personally i find that equipping it to Bloodshot Trainee makes for effective, consistent burn.

All in all, this deck is simple and effective.
