Niv- Mizzet has been one of my favorite characters ever since I've started playing magic back in late 2012 around when Return to Ravnica came out. The Idea of a super intellectual and egotistical dragon that ruled over his Izzet League of mad scientists was appealing to me. When I saw that we were returning to Ravnica again I got giddy because that mean't that we'd see a new printing of the Parun of the Izzet Guild. We got gifted Niv-Mizzet, Parun which is an upgraded Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, which made me make some changes to this list. The goal of the deck is to combo off in a few different ways in the traditional Niv Mizzet Style with cards such as Curiosity, Tandem Lookout, and Ophidian Eye but instead of just tapping Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind you need to cast an instant, sorcery, or cantrip to get the combo going. There is also Dramatic Reversal and Isochron Scepter when paired with a mana rock(s) that can pay for ishocron can generate infinite mana and infinite spell casts which interacts with Niv-Mizzet, Parun second ability allowing you to draw cards. The rest of the deck is filled with card draw, interaction, and board wipes to secure our game plan
