Also for a more budgeted version simply replace shock lands with guildgates
Key interactions:
Cheap Ciphers (Trait Doctoring, Hands of Binding, Hidden Strings)+Aqueous Form on any creature (preferably the niv magus elemental)
Ciphers on a creature with Aqueous Form+Casting Triggers (Tablet of the Guilds, Young Pyromancer, Guttersnipe)
Exile unnecessary ciphers to feed Nivmagus Elemental
use Negate and Dispel to keep my creatures alive
Win conditions include: Using Tablet of the Guilds to get above 100 life, Getting Nivmagus Elemental buffed up and using either Hands of Binding or a precombat cast of Hidden Strings and swing in for kill, or overwhelm them with an army of 1/1 tokens or using Guttersnipe to kill with each successful cipher.
Perfect game
T1: Island,
Nivmagus Elemental
T2: Island,
2xHidden Strings (using them to untap the lands used to pay for them)
Aqueous Form
keep 1x Dispel or Negate in hand to deal with pesky kill spells (note at this time I only have 1 mana available so Dispel is what I can use but next turn I want a Negate in hand for its versatility)
Ciphers ciphered on the elemental
scry 1 then swing an unblockable 1
exile all ciphers to put 4 +1/+1 counters on the niv magus
T3: Mountain
Guttersnipe
swing for an unblockable 5 (opponent at 14 now)
cast the copies for a further 4 damage off the Guttersnipe (opponent at 10)
exile 1 copy of Hidden Strings use the other to free up land to counter a kill spell while putting 2 +1/+1 counters on the elemental
T4: swing for an unblockable 6
cast the copies for the Guttersnipe to win all the while with a counter in hand.
let me know of other spells that I can use to break cipher, preferably standard legal... and +1s are always welcome
