Let's See You Block This

Standard* Aggro Combo Control Humans

HydroFalcon

Sideboard

Okay so this is my attempt to make a U/W Delver deck with a bit more an unblockable twist. I will break down my reasoning for cards here, but I am always open to suggestions.

Land: -The normal and dual-lands should be self explanitory.

-Ghost Quarter Is used for many things such as getting rid Kessig Wolf Run, Inkmoth Nexus, and other opponent's land that causes problems as well as fixing a possible one sided mana situation of my own.

Instants: - Think Twice For the draw with flashback. You can even leave it open so your opponent might think you have a Mana Leak.

  • Speaking of Mana Leak, this is for great early game counters and even some late game large stuff.

  • Vapor Snag This can be used to bounce things that have counters or keep big threats from swinging.

  • Faith's Shield This can be used to either protect one of my important creatures from being burned, exiled, etc. but also to either let me block one of their huge cards and have protection from it, or just to make one of my cards unblockable. It also can protect one of lands, o-ring, equipment, etc. I love this card. I think it is highly underplayed and underrated. It is very versitile.

Enchantments:- Oblivion Ring This is used to take out the largest threat on the opponent's side of the field.

Creatures:- Mirran Crusader Pro black and green and doublestrike. Make this baby unblockable and hit them hard.

  • Invisible Stalker Unblockable and hexproof. Equip him with a blade and swing all day.

  • Snapcaster Mage Used to flash back important feature's of the deck such as Mana Leak and Faith's Shield .

  • Geist of Saint Traft This big boy has hexproof and brings out a temporary 4/4 angel when he swings. Either make him or the angel unblockable and be on your way to victory.

  • Delver of Secrets   One drop that I can flip for a nice flier. Can be used to swing away or block one of their fliers.

Sorcerys:- Ponder Is used to position my cards where I need them to set up the rest of the game or give me a quicker path to victory.

  • Gitaxian Probe Is used for seeing if the opponent has any counters or combos and then being able to draw.

Artifact:- Trepantation Blade I cannot afford the usual swords and think this is a suitable enough substitute. The extra damage and mill is great.

Sideboard:- Flashfreeze Cheap counter to RDW or Wolf Run. Would typically replace Mana Leak.

  • Dissipate Mainly for decks such as Solar Flare that use annoying flashback cards. Also would replace Mana Leak.

  • Celestial Purge Cheap exile for Solar Flare, RDW, Wolf Run, etc.

  • Revoke Existence Mainly for Tempered Steel, Mage-Blade, etc.

  • Timely Reinforcements Used to buy time against quick decks like Red It Up

  • Day of Judgment If they are playing a creature bassed deck, I can reset the field.

  • Turn to Frog okay do not hate on this card. It is so useful against huge threats like any of the titans. If they swing with a big card, make it a 1/1 and block and kill it. Simple. The fact that it also removes abilities that the titans and other cards have is sweet.
