Sideboard

This deck has been set on a hiatus since I needed it's cards for other decks

A not so usual control deck, but I wanted to try something different, from all the Esper/Naya control decks being around right now.I took some (heavy) inspiration from Brad Nelson's Naya Control and twisted it to the Black side in exchange for the green.

Onwards to actual decktech!

One "drops":

I only have 4 one drops, but those do count very much! Chained to the Rocks provides some early creature removal for almost anything, with little to no answer.

Two "drops":

I really like a clean board, unless the board is filled with my stuff. But since I'm still building up mana, I'm packing more removal. I have Mizzium Mortars for those stupid turn 2 Loxodon Smiters, I have Dreadbore for risky early drops or ready and waiting for planeswalkers later into the game. As an actual creature (VIP, Very Important Priest), I have High Priest of Penance. He might not look like much, but the possibility of trading two for 1 against aggro is huge. He can block a 1 toughness creature, kill it and go kamikaze on another creature. - Though he might be sideboard material instead of mainboard. For lategame rakdos return is here to deal damage and dump their hand. If it's a control player, making them lose their hand is very good, but even if they only have 1 or 2 cards, the damage is always good.

Three "drops":

Guess what. The more removal, the merrier! Hero's Downfall for instant removal of Planeswalkers (Or AEtherling and Obzedat, Ghost CouncilAnger of the Gods is very good against aggro decks, since it sweeps most aggro cards and exiles cards against reanimators.Rakdos Keyrune is used mainly for mana, but can be used as a blocker/attacker in case I really need some protection.Boros Reckoner is an experiment for now. It's a blocker/shooter/used to pressure the opponent.

Four "drops":

Warleader's Helix Ahhh, finally. Lifegain! This is much needed as well as some damage against planeswalkers, which should be a very real possible threat at this point. In the end phase of the game it can be four damage to the face.

Five drops (actual drops):

Assemble the Legion. Win condition number 1.At this point, the board should be cleared/partially cleared, so the soldiers will keep assembling and charge onto the battlefield (or block if it's looking really bad..)Stormbreath Dragon. Win condition number 2.A 4/4 charging flier, that has protection from Azorius Charm, Detention Sphere etc. which also has the possibility of getting upgraded to 7/7.

Six drops:

Elspeth, the sun's champion. Win condition number 3. Do I even need to introduce her?

And that's it. Sideboard is more or less random at the moment, but I'm looking forward to clearing it up.I'm even thinking about moving the Blood Baron of Vizkopa (atleast 1 or 2) in exchange for Boros Reckoner or High Priest of Penance.
