This deck is all about building mana and then doing all kinds of fun stuff with it, and at less than $80 it is a fairly cheap deck to buy. However I did remove the budget tag because I don't think this falls in that category any longer. Here is the breakdown:
Liliana of the Dark Realms - She is absolutely amazing for mana ramp. Her +1 and ultimate really let me play practically anything I want. Her -3 ability can help me end a game instantly. Adding +13/+13 to a flying creature gets pretty ridiculous pretty quickly.
Crypt Ghast - Double my swamps and allow me to extort everytime I play a card? Yes please.
Desecration Demon - Token black card...I know, but if you have him, run him. Haha
Gray Merchant of Asphodel - KABOOM! This bomb is the epitome of a MBD devastator. Drop this bad boy down and that is a Wham, Bam, Thank You Ma'am victory waiting to happen.
Master of the Feast - Yes, it gives my opponents a slight card advantage...and allows me to kill them 8,907,876,432x faster...(slight exaggeration)...why not?
Pharika's Chosen
- Good early drop, adds a devotion, and opponents think twice about attacking. I like it.
Shadow Alley Denizen
- Intimidate for the creatures I run? Oh hell yes. Plus she looks like Selena from Underworld, Bonus Points!
Abhorrent Overlord - Flying? Check. Powerful? Check. Drops a metric shizz ton of tokens to chump block or chip away at life? CHECK!
Hythonia the Cruel
- This is the one most people are probably like...huh?? But think about it...a powerful deathtouch creature just sitting on the field...the opponent knowing that anytime they play a creature...it could be their last. Nerve-wracking and hilarious. Plus she is a beast even if she is the only creature on my field afterwards.
Spiteful Returned
- Just all around fun...and bestowable. Thinking about replacing him, but no idea with what.
Bile Blight
- Forget weenies, indestructible, anything...I still hate you Fleecemane Lion...douche.
Quag Sickness
- Ask yourself, what can't it kill? The correct answer is nothing...this kills ALL THE THINGS!!
Silence the Believers
- Unless you counter this, in my deck...say bye bye to your field, it's gone. :p
Swamp - Most important card in this deck...bar none.
